Florida Releases the 2022 Catastrophe Reporting Form in Preparation of Hurricane Season

The 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season is officially upon us.  In preparation, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) released a notice to the industry providing the 2022 Catastrophe Reporting Form (CRF) for insurers’ use. The CRF collects claims and other relevant information following a natural disaster that caused catastrophic damage within the state.

The OIR advised the 2022 CRF template is unchanged from the 2021 CRF, except for updated definitions for “Reopened Claims” and “Supplemental Claims” within the Instructions tab, and an additional row titled “Supplemental Claims” within the Survey tab of the Enhanced CRF.  A 2022 CRF Frequently Asked Questions document is also provided for further guidance.  Additional information and resources can be found on the OIR’s Catastrophic Claims Data and Reporting webpage.
