Florida Requires Monthly Hurricane Nicole Catastrophe Reporting Through Feb. 2023

On December 2, 2022, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) issued a notice to the industry regarding its data call related to Hurricane Nicole catastrophe claims.

The OIR is requiring monthly simplified catastrophe reporting through February 2023. The monthly reporting deadlines are as follows:

  • Friday, December 9, 2022

  • Monday, January 9, 2023

  • Thursday, February 9, 2023

Data must be submitted by 12:00 p.m. ET for each reporting deadline. Insurers are to report Hurricane Nicole claims data using the 2022 Catastrophe Reporting Form (CRF) through the Insurance Regulation Filing System (IRFS). Further information and instructions are outlined within the OIR's notice.
